Heaviness in the Heart

What does one do when they feel as though they want to literally die from a broken heart?

Many out there in the world suffer with this heaviness in their hearts from hour to hour moment to moment. They seem to have no hope, no joy, no end to this heaviness or darkness that hangs over them. Some may call it depression, some may call it severe pain of sadness, or it may be bondage over something that the enemy wants to hold over you and smother the very life out of you.

I feel like Satan is stealing every breath of joy and life that God may be pumping into our lungs. He wants to destroy every ray of hope that God has implanted into our minds. We can learn to recognize when the wrong thoughts come in and the authority we have to cast them out in His name. There is so much power and authority in that name, Jesus. I understand the enemy can not possibly know what I am thinking, because I have the mind of Christ living in me. Satan and Christ both cannot dwell within me. It has to be one or the other. We cannot know the mind of Christ unless He dwells there to lead us and guide us in all things by His Holy Spirit. I do know that the enemy can interject the wrong thoughts into my mind and allow me to run ramped with evil thoughts if I do not cast them out in the name of Jesus. Gods spirit living within me recognizes that this impure and unholy and out of line with His holy word.

The word, all truth, God himself reflects back to me as I read from His living word as a mirror showing me my sins and where I am lacking in my own nature.

If things are filling your heart with deep heaviness and make you broken hearted, sad, a feeling of a heavy cloud hanging over you, a ball and chain you seem to be dragging with you every where you go, the enemy is succeeding. Stop right now and break every chain, every sadness, release the darkness into joy as you step into the light of our Savior. Just speak His name, Jesus. See what happens. I see the devil running, trembling, afraid, and he leaves, as God says he will do. What authority, what rights, in the Name of Jesus!

We know from reading the word that bondage is not the nature of God. He wants us to have life, an abundant life, a rewarding life, a glorious happy life, sometimes we have to experience the sorrow before we reach the palace. If we have never known sorrow, how would we know what true, real, happiness in God was all about. We are taught patience, we are taught to love the unlovely, we are taught to love unconditionally the unlovely just like Christ loves us when we were yet living in our sins and not a lovely sight with our garments of filthy rags in the sight of the Lord. It is the mind of Christ within us that helps us to know that we are going to be spared many things in obedience to the Lord. He has so many blessings He wants to pour out on His children that they can not receive nor contain because they are unwilling to listen to His leading in all things in their lives. He wants to give us the desires of our hearts if we could only trust and obey.

I think of our own children, when they trust us, obey and honor, we want to shower them with blessings that overwhelms them. This is just like my heavenly Father, as I am learning to trust and obey even though I do not fully understand why I must in all areas of my life, He does. He will reveal why as I obey and honor Him to the uttermost. If our children decide to do things their way and seek for self only with no thought for the other person they may be harming in doing so, it will crumble and fall as they will learn by their disobedience. The best part about it even though the mother or father may not want to reward them or shower them with blessings at their behavior, they continue to give out of the love and mercy of the Father in their hearts to that child with unconditionally love. Why, because they have inherited traits of the Father to minister to their children as God has ministered to them when they were so undeserving. We love because we were first loved by the heavenly Father. He loved me even before I knew Him. He has loved me from the very beginning and knew the plans he had for my life.

I want those to know, or may think God isnt going to lift them up in their lifetime some facts from the holy scriptures. You may think your time is never coming to be happy, or you have given up hope for happiness. Do you know what the Father has in store for those with a contrite spirit, that is broken with heaviness? He says that He is very near to you at this moment. It is during this time you will be very close to Him as you seek relief from what life has dealt to you. Let us look at those with a contrite spirit and what God says:

Psalms 34:15, 16,17,18,19,22

The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of the Lord is against those them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

The unseen guest within our home or wherever we may be at the moment, beholding and listening to our every cry for help and relief. He turns his face away from us if we are being disobedient or allowing evil to overcome our hearts with wrong thoughts and motives to get even or lash out at the situation or another person. He will deliver us and He does it, oh so right. He is near to save us from the wicked one or the wiles of the devil that may be at work to break our spirit and heart to shattered pieces. We will have many afflictions even though we are a Christian or know the Lord, but look what He has promised and He does not lie. The Lord says, I will deliver him out of them all. He will redeemeth the soul of his servants, {we must serve him} and none of them that trust in him will be desolate. Amen Lord for your wonderful Words of Wisdom. So be it.

God you are a God that does not lie. Numbers 23:19 speaks so clearly to us about taken God at His holy word for truth. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Yes Lord your word is true and powerful, it gives us hope, and gives us the knowledge to know what to do in every situation in our lives. We are to study the scriptures daily and learn of him and be men and women after Gods own heart like David was in the bible. Even though David was a little shepherd boy, playing a harp which some may think was something that was unusual for a young man to do. It was his love for God that made him a young man after Gods own heart. Not his stature, not his color, not his makeup as a shepherd boy, but a man after Gods heart. This makes all the difference in the world when it comes to God blessing his children. Do you seek to be a man or woman after the heart of God daily? Doing things that please the heavenly father with an unconditional love to those that God has placed within your realm of living. Loving even though you do not see the point, dont understand the point, loving because God first loved you so that you can measure love to others unconditionally knowing that your reward is great and on the way if you do not waver. God is also looking at the condition the pureness and motives of our heart. He sees what others can not see. He is the all seeing God of the heart. If your heart is right with God than there will be no condemnation as we call on him in prayer and come boldly to him in prayer. He wants to give you the desires of your heart, if you are after His heart in all your ways.

1John 18, 19, 20, 21speaks of the love of God.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment, He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love Him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

If things are overwhelming in your life, if you are beginning to feel the enemy coming in like a flood, take heart my friend. God will rescue. Trust in Him. Turn to him in prayer.

If it has not worked within your life time that you could experience this being lifted up by the Lord, He wants to do this for whomever is suffering with shattered dreams.

If our way does not work as we struggle to keep our head above water and not drown in lifes sorrows, then why not give God a chance to come in and subside the rising flood within your heart. Let him calm the sea that lashes so violently within. Let Him minister His love throughout all things that pertain to your life. I challenge you to give God a chance and learn from His word what He wants you to do as he ministers to you by His sweet spirit. If His eye is on the sparrow and if one falls will he surely not know what all is going on in your life and around you. Is anything too hard for God? He wants to break the yoke or yokes of bondage that have kept so many bound for years including myself until he showed me a better way. His way to a joy unspeakable, one that trusts, honors, and obeys him in all things knowing that It is the right thing to do and he will make everything turn out all right. As his decendent I know that there is a great inheritance waiting for me someday. I need not worry about anything about my life for he holds it in the palm of his hand forming and conforming it to his command as he orders all things for me from day to day. Trust? Oh Yes Lord, Obey? To the best of my ability I will not waver, if I do set me back on tract. I know that my heart at this very moment has been opened to the light of your wisdom for my life. Let me come to you in humility and you told me that as I do this you will lift me up. I am begin to soar on the wings of the God most high as I pray this simple prayer. God be with whomever reads this story in spirit as you are with me as I write to help others see the love of you and to love others with your love and in trust and obedience we seek after your heart. Break the chains of heaviness off of anyones heart that needs so desperately to be healed at this moment. Let them walk forward with strength and hope as they begin to feel lifted up by you as they have never felt in their whole life. Let them know how real you are, how much you love them as you pour that warm oil of anointing down over their whole being basking them in the Fathers love. Contrite, broken heart, no longer within as they walk in victory in the name that breaks bands asunder, Jesus.
